At this point, we feel the right decision is to postpone the 2020 GRT. We will be keeping everyone updated over the next few weeks as to when the event will be rescheduled or the cancellation of the 2020 event, if necessary.
At this time, those participants who wish to withdraw their registration (or waitlist position) can do so through RunSignUp. We have extended the full refund withdrawal date until April 24th. We will provide a race update prior to April 24th. Runners can withdraw from the event and receive a full refund minus any fees charged by RunSignUp. The GRT is not retaining any fees from withdrawn runners.
If we are unable to reschedule for 2020, runners will have the option of a refund (less fees) or to roll over their registration to 2021.
The GRT will offer four events to provide participants a choice of distances to match their experience, early-season fitness, and season-long goals – the 30K Trail Run, the 50K and 50 Mile Ultramarathons and the 50-Mile 5-person relay. Except for a short stretch at the start and near the end, the 30K and 50K events will be entirely on an exceptional single-track trail. In addition to the single-track, the 50 Mile course also includes a section of very runnable, yet very hilly, double-track/fire roads through beautiful hardwood forests.
